Lato Bamikole is a widow with 6 children whose ages range from 25 to 7 years old. She is 49 years old and lives with her 4 younger children, who are still her dependents. They all are students. Lato became a customer of the microfinance institution ACFB 2 years ago and since then she has had 3 loans. Since 1990 Lato has been producing and selling Lafou, a staple food popular in Benin, made of cassava. Lato buys the cassava tubercles from Ketou villagers and with the help of 3 employees, she peels, dries and grounds the cassava. The flour obtained is then used to prepare a dough that she sells in the Pobe, Onigbolo et Tokpa markets. She is applying for a new loan that will allow her to buy 50 sacs of cassava. The benefits of this transaction will be saved, so she can buy in future a vehicle to transport her goods.

Lato est veuve et mère de 06 enfants dont les âges varient entre 25 et 07 ans. Elle a 49 ans et vit à IGUI OLOU avec ses quatre plus jeunes enfants encore à sa charge. Ils sont tous élèves. Elle est entrée en partenariat avec ACFB depuis 02 ans et a déjà bénéficié de 03 crédits. Dame Lato achète des tubercules de manioc auprès des paysans de Kétou, les épluche, les sèche avant de les moudre. Cette farine est appelée ‘’Lafou’’. Elle est utilisée pour préparer la pâte, principale met de la localité. Lato livre sa marchandise sur les marchés de Pobè, Onigbolo et Tokpa. Pour l’aider dans ses activités, elle emploie 03 salariées. C’est depuis 1990 qu’elle a démarré ce commerce. Elle demande maintenant un crédit de 600 000F pour acheter 50 sacs de tubercules de manioc. Les bénéfices lui permettront d’acquérir à l’avenir un moyen de transport privé pour transporter sa farine à ses clients.
