Yawa is a single woman of 48 years, mother of a son aged who is 15 years old. Yawa is a seller. She lives in the neighborhood of Avedji in Lomé with her son and operates her business of buying and reselling charcoal from her home. She buys the charcoal in the north of the country.
Yawa wants her Son to attend college and she sees that she will need to earn a good income to be able to afford to send him so she must work harder to provide for her son. She is requesting a loan which she will repay in 12 monthly installments.
With this loan, Yawa intends to buy more bags of charcoal to expand her business as greater stocks will mean she can earn a better profit.
