Loan description:
Rosa América Sánchez Pasaca is a shopkeeper. She is 57 and has five adult children. She is separated from her husband. Doña Rosa lives in the southern city of Loja. She has sold household groceries from the shop for the last twenty years. Her shop is called 'Mini tienda Rosita'. She also sells clothes to specific customers upon request. The shop actually helped her to overcome a crisis some years ago when one of her sons became seriously ill when he was 20. She was forced to sell some of her properties to cover the medical expenditures and she even asked for financial help from friends and family. However, the shop kept providing her with a constant source of income and over time she has gradually recovered. She requested a loan in order to buy more stock in bulk, specifically rice, cheese, sugar and canned food. It works out cheaper for her if she can buy in bulk. The loan is for ten months.
