Loan description:
Vitaliana Bartolabac is a 50 year old married woman with two children ages 10 and 5. Both her children are enrolled at school. She also supports other 2 children ages 2 and 1. Her husband, Mario is 52 years old and works overseas as a mason in Kuwait. The family lives in Cebu province. Vitaliana runs a butchery located in the town market. Her meat stall offers fresh meat of beef, pork and chicken. She has had the stall for more than 30 years and sells meat by kilo to households and to restaurant owners. Her stall is open from morning until late afternoon each day, she has a full-time assistant. She and her staff are both experienced butchers, skilled in selecting the best quality meat and in using cutting knives. Vitaliana earns more during festive and holiday seasons as people always consider to have at least one dish of meat to celebrate. Her products are bought from a trusted and legal supplier of fresh meats in the town. She ensures that meat and stall are always clean and away from dust and insects.
Vitaliana has been an active member of the microfinance organisation, LMPC for more than a year where she has already availed and repaid six microloans. She is now applied for a large loan that she promises to repay over a short period of three months. She is planning to acquire larger stocks as this will enable her business to serve more people and eventually increase her daily income. She wants to save more for the education of her children and other dependents. She also hopes to have enough capital to have a larger butchery someday.
