Jinky Romano is 32 years old and has a 13 year old daughter.Together with her 42 year old husband Milmario, she operates a business selling sodas (“softdrinks”) for re-sale to different local shops in Nueva Ecija province where they live. Jinky also operates a shop selling consumable products such as noodles, crisps, canned goods and condiments. She has been in business for 17 years. She has been a member of the microfinance organisation Alalay sa Kaunlaran for 9 years and is requesting a loan of $1575 to purchase larger volumes of soft drinks and additional merchandise for her shop. She has promised to repay this over a six month period. She also hopes to buy a new service vehicle in the future.
