Loan description:
Dagbédé is a 40 year old woman. She is married and has 6 children, 3 are still at school. For 12 years she has been a producer of red palm oil as her main activity. The manufacturing process of red oil is very complex. After the palm nuts are harvested, they undergo a process to separate the nuts from the stalks. The nuts are then braised in tanks that are usually drums. When they have been braised, the nuts are crushed and then pressed using a mechanic press. The virgin oil obtained through this extraction process is then heated in tanks to clarify the oil. This clarified oil will be ready for consumption. Dagbédé hires 5 people to help with this process and she pays them properly at the end of the process. Dagbédé sells her production to wholesalers at two local markets. In addition to this activity, Dabdédé is a fresh fish retailer in the markets of Tatonnoukon, Pobè and Ikpinlè. Dagbédé buys palm nuts in the village fields and fresh fish by the Atchonsa river. She is a loyal customer of the microfinance institution ACFB and has always repaid her loans. At present she is asking for a loan that she will use to purchase larger amounts of palm nuts and fresh fish to meet the demand from her customers. The profit will be used to help her husband with school fees but especially to save to increase the production capacity of its manufacturing plant oil unit.
