Luis Alfredo Buri is from the district of San Antonio in rural Catamayo. He is 23, single and lives with his parents. He started working when he was 16 cutting sugar cane for the large local sugar factory. For the last seven months though he has been raising and selling pigs - he can sell them after around four months. He prefers this business because it also allows him to work as a bricklayer as well. He sought a six month loan in order to buy more piglets and animal feed. Providing he can keep the animals healthy he has a good profit when it comes time to sell.
