Loan description:
Juan Carlos Lojan is a car mechanic. He started working when he was 17 in a paint workshop after finishing his secondary education. He established his own garage about ten years ago where he undertakes a wide range of repair works on all sorts of vehicles. This is the main source of income for him to support his wife and three children. He has managed to build his own house on a plot of land he bought with government support. However, the house is still lacking some basic facilities and he requested a loan in order to finance further construction work on his home. He expects to make repayments from the income he generates from his garage. The loan is for nine months. It is likely that he will continue to make further gradual improvements to his home thereafter.
