Togo
Loan description:
Bigui Amouzou is 27 and married with four children. He lives in the district of Agbo-camp in the town of Atakpame in central Togo. His children are aged between 1 and 12. The elder three are enrolled in school. Bigui’s wife sells clothes in a market in a neighboring district. Bigui opened a general convenience store five years ago. It is located in the same district where he lives. He sells basic household foods mainly including eggs, rice, tomatoes and pasta. His business is prosperous and he has already taken on two full-time employees who help him to attend to customers. Bigui feels he needs to continue investing in his business as customers are more attracted to a well=stocked shop. He requested a loan of 1,000,000 West African francs in order to buy more stock, particularly rice and cereals. He intends to repay the loan over 15 months.
Loan added: 11 August 2012
