Loan description:
Ablavi Ayivi runs a stall by the side of the road selling school stationary. She is married with a five year old child who attends school. Her husband works as a car electrician. She sells all types of school stationary including pens, pencils, notebooks and folders. Her stall is located in front of the local health centre in Adidogomé. Demand for her products is very seasonal and particularly high before the start of the new school year. In order to have enough stock available to meet potential demand Ablavi requested a loan of 500,000 West African francs. The loan is for one year. She hopes that she might be able to open a shop one day rather than sell by the side of the road.
