Julienne is 50 years old and married with six children, three of whom are students. For the past five years, Julienne has managed a shop selling various products such as canned milk, canned tomatoes, sugar, soap, pasta, insecticides, matches, biscuits and oil. In addition to her store, Julienne also sells sauces and ingredients for sauces such as tomatoes, peppers, onions and oil. She manages her shop, which is situated in the busy Massè market. She buys from the market in Kpedekpo. Being a very friendly woman, Julienne has attracted a number of regular customers and it is important she meets the needs of her customers. Julienne has been a member of the microfinance institution, ACFB, for several years and this most recent microloan will be used to buy her various products in bulk. The profit I make on this trade will help me increase my capital, to help my husband with household expenses but also to save for the construction of my house she says proudly. She will repay this loan over 12 months.
