Irfana Subasic was born in 1986. She is married with two young children and lives with her family in the village of Lukavica near Gracanica. She has a small holding where she raises and sells chickens and also grows maize and vegetables during the warmer months. She feeds the chickens with maize. She sells the chickens every few months and then buys news chicks. After spending the first few days in an enclosure they are raised free range. Her house is quite old and Irfana is using profits from her business to renovate her home. She sought a loan in order to buy more chicks. The loan is repayable over 18 months.
