Carmen Castillo was a single mother from the age of 20. She received a small level of economic support from her son's father but has also needed to work to support herself. She started off by being the radio controller at a taxi firm, and also sold cosmetics. About five years ago she had another child with her new partner. They now live together with their children. They decided to start an internet cafe which has proved to be a good business, people come to use the internet, print material and also make phone calls. She has sought a loan in order to buy another computer, paper, and school stationary to sell since many of her customers are students. The loan is for ten months.
