Emilie is married to a trader, while she herself is a retailer in general food produce. She sells tinned food, pasta and biscuits alongside a variety of other products in her shop located in her neighbourhood in Atakpamé. Having been a member of the microfinance organisation WAGES for eight months, she is now seeking her second loan. The first loan was for 400,000 West African francs and was repaid without any problems over twelve months. The loan she is now seeking is for 500,000 West African francs and will also be repaid over twelve months. It will make her able to significantly expand her stocks, in particular her stock of milk and tinned tomatoes. Thanks to her business, Emilie was able to stop working as a seamstress; a trade that did not bring enough financial advantage for her. Emilie would like to be able to grow her business and ensure decent schooling for her three children.

Emilie pour sa part, est commerçante détaillante de produits d’alimentation générale. Il s’agit des boites de conserves, de pâtes alimentaires, de biscuits et de divers articles qu’elle revend dans sa boutique située dans son quartier de résidence à Atakpamé.
A seulement huit mois d’ancienneté avec WAGES, elle est à son deuxième cycle. Le premier d’une valeur de 400 000FCFA fut remboursé sans difficulté sur douze mois et celui-ci d’un montant de 500 000FCFA, sera payé aussi sur douze mois. Elle pourra donc acheter beaucoup plus de marchandises notamment des cartons de boites de tomates et de lait.
Grâce à cette activité, elle a pu abandonner sans remords la couture qu’elle exerçait auparavant et qui ne l’avantageait plus financièrement.
Emilie veut pouvoir renforcer son commerce et assurer une meilleure scolarisation à ses 3 enfants.
