Pasa

Loan description:

Pasa Spahic is 61 years old and a widow. She lives in Lipnica which is near the northern Bosnian city of Tuzla. She is pensioner. However, her pension is not enough to cover her household expenses so she has a smallholding where she tries to earn a little extra income through growing and selling vegetables such as spinach, tomatoes, peppers and aubergines. She also owns a very small greenhouse where she grows the seedlings. Pasa sells locally to shops and neighbours. She has decided that she also wants to raise and sell chickens. She has a chicken coop and also some land where they can graze and she has even received some orders already. Pasa has already received and repaid two loans from the microfinance organisation 'Women for Women International' and she applied for a third to buy the chicks and feed.
