Vanna

Loan description:

Vanna Soeurng is 52 years old and married with six children. Her children are aged between 28 and 12 years. Her two elder children are married and live separately while her two younger ones are still at school. Vanna and her family live in Damnakdang Kor village, which is in Sangke district, Battambang province. Vanna has been running a business selling vegetables and meat for the past 20 years. She generally buys her vegetables and meat from Boeng Chhouk Market which is located 20 kilometres away from her home and uses her motorbike to deliver these vegetable, fish and meat from one place to another. For this business Vanna can earn from $8 to $10 a day which she uses for her children’s education. To buy and deliver her vegetables on time, Vanna needs a motorbike to help her. As her working capital is currently limited, she has borrowed a loan to buy a motorbike to deliver her vegetables and meat. For this great loan she promises to pay it back over nine months. In the future Vanna wants to open a general store from her home which she will use to create more income to support her family.
