Saja

Loan description:

Saja Kara is 67 years old and single. She lives in the city of Mostar. She is a pensioner but her pension doesn't bring in enough for all of her living and household expenses so she decided to start a business. Her friend once asked her if she could take some of her friends from Sarajevo to stay overnight at her place. After that she came up with the idea to rent the rooms in her house to students, tourists and seasonal workers. Saja gradually expanded her business and today she rents rooms mostly to students because her house is in the central part of Mostar, near to the university. She is very pleased and satisfied because she managed to create a business that both brings pleasure and is useful. She is no longer alone in her house and receives income. She is a very modest and honest person. Saja received one loan from the microcredit foundation, Women for Women International, and applied for another. She needs this loan because she wants to renovate another room to rent.
