Bosnia-Herzegovina
Loan description:
Mirzeta Brkic is 30 years old and married. She lives with her family in the village of Dobraljevo near to the city of Busovaca in central Bosnia. She has two sons: Vejsil is 7 years old and Sumedin is 3. Vejsil goes to primary school. Mirzeta started a business in farming: she has a smallholding where she grows beans, onions, potatoes, and carrots. She sells her vegetables on the local market. She also has a cow and a heifer from which she produces milk and cheese to sell to her regular customers. Mirzeta managed to successfully develop her business and is very pleased and satisfied because it enables her to provide a better life for her family. She makes a big effort to provide a better future for her children because she herself was orphaned as a child. Mirzeta has been a very good client of the microcredit foundation, Women for Women International for the last six years. She has now applied for a new loan in order to prepare her soil for sowing and buy new seeds.
