Loan description:
Reun Mon is 55 years old and married with nine children who are aged between 32 and 13 years old. Only two of Reun's children are still in full time education and the others have their own jobs. Reun and her family live in Boskhnor village, which is in Banon district, Battambang province. Reun and her husband are farmers and have been farming almost all their lives. At the moment they farm five hectares of land to grow maize and after three months this is ready to pick and sell to a local trader. Reun and her husband also grow rice on another hectare of land and the yield they get from this is for their family consumption only. To enable timely and convenient ploughing and to reduce renting costs, Reun and her husband have decided to apply for a loan to buy a small hand tractor. Reun promises to pay the loan back over 14 months.
