Emira Dzinalic is 43 years old and divorced. She has two children, one son and one daughter. She lives with her family in the city of Mostar in south-western Bosnia and Herzegovina. Her son is 12 and goes to primary school, while her daughter who is 10 goes to a special needs school. Emira is hardworking and has several jobs, including working for a local commercial company as well as looking after two elderly persons. She also runs her own business which is knitting, embroidery, and making handmade decorative pieces from plaster which are particularly popular with tourists during the holiday season. Tourists visit Mostar to see the world famous 'Stari Most' Bridge over the Neretva River. Emira has been a very good client of microcredit foundation 'Women for Women International' for the last three years. She applied for new loan recently, repayable over 18 months, in order to buy new artist's materials and equipment.
