Loan description:
Koami lives in Avédji, a neighbourhood of Lomé and is a driver of motorcycle taxis. He is a married father to three children; the eldest is 14 and the youngest is 7. Koami himself is 34 years old. Having trained as an electrician, he left his job as an automotive electrician in 2008 to concentrate on his taxi business. He is seeking his first loan for 400,000 West African francs to enable him to acquire a new motorcycle. He will then repay his loan with some of the money he makes from this. He will use 360,000 francs to pay for the motorcycle itself and 40,000 for additional costs, such as registration of the vehicle. In the medium term, he envisages acquiring some more motorcycles and seeking to employ a number of young people. He hopes that, in turn, this will help him to meet the needs of his family.
