Loan description:
Henry Bardoquillo is 45 year old and single, but he is blessed with 2 children aged 22 and 20 respectively. His eldest is already working as a teacher while his youngest is currently studying in college. He lives in the neighbourhood of Carmelo which is located in the town of Tuburan, Cebu province. Henry was once a government employee before he decided to engage in culturing fish in his area. He focuses in producing bangus or milk fish as his products. Bangus is considered as the national fish of the Philippines. He currently manages a small fish pond with the help of one employed assistant where they are able to gather kilos of fish on a regular basis. He primarily uses nets and containers in order to catch fish. He then delivers the products to wholesalers and fishmongers in the town. The business has been running for only 6 months but Henry anticipates continuing to increase his production as time goes by and as the demand increases. The microfinance organisation, First Consolidated Cooperative granted him a small loan that will be really helpful to buy feeds for his milk fish production that is enough for two-month consumption. He dreams to expand his fish pond business to educate the people to eat bangus instead of other varieties of fish. The income he will receive is for the college education of his youngest child. Henry will repay the loan over a short period of two months.
