Loan description:
Kunthea Kan is 37 years old and married with four children. Her children are aged between 17 and 8 years old and all of them are in full-time education at the local school. They live in Anlong Svay village, Takream commune in Banon district, Battambang province. Kunthea is a farmer; she currently farms two hectares of rice paddy. The yield gives her about three tons per hectare, two tons of which she stocks for her family's consumption. The remainder will be sold to local traders. As her working capital is currently limited, she has sought a six month loan in order to buy commercial fertilizer, pay for ploughing costs and other associated farming costs She will pay the loan back over six months.
