Loan description:
Kimyong Phon is 52 years old and married with three children, who are aged between 28 and 23 years old. All of Kimyong's children now have their own jobs. Presently they live in Trang village, which is in Thmor Korl district, Battamang province. Kimyong and his wife are farmers and farm two hectares of land. The yield gives them about two and a half tonnes per hectare. They stock one and a half tonnes for their personal consumption and sell the remainder to a miller. To earn more income for the household, they have also started raising pigs from their home. They presently have ten pigs and they use commercial feed mixed with rice bran to feed them. After four months all of their animals are ready to be sold to the market and Kimyong calls a buyer to negotiate the price. As their working capital is currently limited, they have borrowed a ten month loan in order to buy commercial feed, rice bran and piglets.
