Latifatou is married and a mother to four children; the eldest is in the fifth year, whilst the others are still in primary school. Latifatou has a machine that can be used to grind various condiments; she offers this as a service to her circle of contacts and acquaintainces. With no competitors in the area, she is able to mobilise a significant proportion of the market. In addition to this activity, she runs a trade in the sale of a variety of products, chiefly snacks. Latifatou manages her business alone and is able to create significant profit from it. She is a client of the microfinance organisation ACFB, towards whom she has always honoured her commitments. The loan she is now seeking is for 800,000 West African francs and would be used for the acquisition of a second grinding machine to help meet the demands of her customer base. On a secondary level, she also wants to launch her trade in both the wholesale and retail of food products and would like to purchase a sufficient quantity of produce from the international market at Cotonou in order to be able to respond to the needs of the customer base. The profit that would ensue from this investment would enable Latifatou to better look after her children and contribute to household expenses. It would them also help her to open up her own shop within which to sell her produce.

Dame MARCOS dispose d’une machine à moudre les condiments, offre son service à son entourage. N’ayant pas de concurrentes dans son quartier, elle mobilise une part importante du marché. A cela elle ‘ajoute le commerce des produits divers et des amuses gueules. Elle gère seule ses activités et en tire beaucoup de profit. Latifatou est une cliente qui a toujours honoré ses engagements au près de l’ACFB. Ce prêt d’un montant de 800.000 FCFA qu’elle sollicite consisterait dans un premier temps à l’acquisition d’une seconde machine à moudre pour mieux satisfaire sa clientèle, et dans un second temps à lancer son commerce en gros et en détail des produits vivriers et à s’approvisionner en quantité suffisante des produits divers sur le marché international de Cotonou afin de répondre aux exigences de sa clientèle. Le profit qu’elle pourrait tiré de cet investissement l’aiderait à mieux s’occuper de ses enfants, contribuer aux dépenses du foyer puis surtout ouvrir sa boutique où elle envisage aussi faire le commerce des divers produits.
