Loan description:

Dopé is 33 years old, married and a mother to three children, who all attend school. Her husband is a driver. Dopé works in close collaboration with dressmakers. In fact, Dopé sells fabrics that she bought in Lomé. These fabrics constitute the raw materials for tailors and dressmakers to whom she offers competitive prices and a personalised service. She is also involved in the retail trade of such fabrics, selling them to women and girls. As a sales strategy, Dopé travels around, walking from market to market selling her fabrics. She joined the microfinance organisation WAGES two years ago, but this is her first request for a loan. This loan for 450,000 West African francs, repayable in twelve months, will be used for the expansion of stock through the purchase of a batch of local fabrics (such as those called hitarget and phoenix) as well another batch imported from Ouagadougou. Her prospects for the future are to see her business expand and acquire national renown.

Dopé travaille en étroite collaboration avec les couturiers. En effet, Dopé vend des pagnes qu’elle achète à Lomé . Ces pagnes constituent donc la matière première des tailleurs et coutouriers à qui elle propose des prix concurrentiels et un service personnalisé. Elle revend aussi ses pagnes au détail aux femmes et jeunes filles pour la confection de leur tenue de sortie. Comme stratégie de vente, elle est ambulante et se promène de marché en marché pour proposer ses pagnes.

Elle a adhéré à WAGES il ya 2 ans et est à sa première demande de crédit. Ce premier prêt de de 450 000FCFA remboursable en 12 mois est destiné à l’achat d’un lot de pagnes locaux (HITARGET, PHOENIX) et d’un autre lot importé de Ouagadougou.

Ses perspectives d’avenir est de voir son commerce s’étendre et avoir une renommée nationale.
