Loan description:
Chamreun Un is 29 years old and single. She lives with her parents in Prek Krouch village, Prek Norin commune, Ek Phnom district, Battambang province. They have a small one hectare farm, where they plant green beans. They can harvest after about three months and sell the crop to local wholesale merchants. They also farm another two hectares of rice paddy where the yield is on average around two tonnes per hectare. They keep one tonne of rice for their own consumption selling the remainder. Chamreun applied for a five month loan in order to buy insecticide, weed killer and diesel for their water pump and the hand tractor that they have owned for the past eight years.
