Celso

Loan description:

Celso Lirazan is 37 years old and single. He supports the needs of his 21 and 19 year old nieces whenever necessary. He owns a small beauty salon which is located in the neighbourhood of Poblacion, in the town of Oslob, Cebu province. The salon is named after him and it primarily offers unisex haircuts. Celso set up his business eight years ago and started with only a few chairs and mirrors and basic hairdressing equipment. He now accommodates a number of regular customers and has expanded his services to include hair dying and re-bonding. He now also has a small waiting area where his customers can sit and read magazines while they wait. Celso currently has no employees but he plans to hire one if the number of customers continues to increase. He has received a loan from the microfinance organisation, Lamac Multi-Purpose Cooperative, that he plans to use to purchase more hairdressing equipment as well as a few hair creams and gels. His income is for his daily living and he will save a part of it for the future needs of his relatives. He dreams of owning a big salon one day. Celso intends to repay the loan over three months.
