Loan description:

At the age of 55, Ama is still very active. She is a widow and a mother to one child, who is now grown-up and living independently. Ama lost her husband very early in life. She now lives in the neighbourhood of Atchrimi in Atakpamé.She must generate her own income and to do so she sells biscuits and other types of snacks that she makes herself. The biscuits are made from wheat flour, to which she skilfully adds a diverse range of ingredients. She runs this business from a house located in the neighbourhood of Lomnava where she can use an oven and workshop for production. She employs three people. She is experienced, having spent 17 years running this business. Before she did this however, Ama was a seamstress. This will be Ama’s first experience with microcredit; she is asking the lenders at Lendwithcare for a loan for 500,000 West African francs, repayable in twelve instalments. This loan will be used for the expansion of stocks through the purchase of sacks of wheat flour, sacks of sugar, cans of oil and firewood to meet the needs of her business. With a view to the future, Ama would like to improve her production equipment and also the state of her own house.

Du haut de ses 55 ans, Ama reste encore bien active. Elle est veuve et mère d’1 enfant. Celui-ci est adulte et installé à son propre compte. Amah a perdu son mari très tôt.

Elle habite le quartier ATCHRIMI à Atakpamé.

Comme activité génératrice de revenus, elle commercialise des biscuits et divers types d’amuse-gueule qu’elle produit elle-même. Les biscuits sont faits à partir de la farine de blé à laquelle elle ajoute des ingrédients savamment élaborés. L’activité se déroule dans une maison sise au quartier LOMNAVA où elle dispose d’un four et d’un atelier pour la production. Elle emploie 3 personnes dans son exploitation. Elle a une ancienneté de plus de 17 ans dans cette activité. Avant cela, elle était couturière.

Ama est à sa première expérience en micro crédit et sollicite des prêteurs de Lendwithcare 500 000FCFA remboursable en 12 mensualités. Ce crédit est destiné à l’achat de sacs de farine de blé, de sacs de sucre de bidons d’huile et du bois de chauffe pour les besoins de son activité.

Comme perspectives d’avenir, elle compte améliorer ses équipements de production et arranger l’état de son habitat.
