Loan description:
Long Pou is 29 years old and married with two children, aged 4 and 8. He lives with his family in Toul Lvieng village, Odambang II commune, Sangke district in Battambang province. Long has been a farmer for around eight years and farms four hectares of rice paddy located near his house. The yield on average is around three tonnes per hectare. He keeps just one tonne for his family's own consumption and the remainder he sells to local traders. In common with other farmers in his village he can grow and harvest rice twice a year. He has sought a six month loan in order to buy some fertiliser, diesel for his hand tractor and water pump and othe cultivating costs.
