Loan description:
Mediha Kozarevic is 31 years old and married. She lives with her husband and four children in a village called Gracanica near the small city of Zivinice south of Tuzla. Two of the children go to school. Her husband works as a woodcutter for the local forest area; sometimes as a full time job and sometimes as a part time job. Mediha started her own business because her husband's income wasn't enough to cover all their expenses and to school their children. She started a business raising livestock. She produces milk, cheese, cream and meat from her two cows and a calf. Beside that she rents a smallholding and grows several vegetables such as beans, potatoes and onions. All these products she sells on the local market. The business brings in a very good income for her family. She has previously had two loans from the microcredit foundation Women for Women International and she has now applied for another. She wants to buy another cow to expand her business as she gets a lot of orders every day.
