Bogdana Stanisic is 51 years old and married with two children. She lives in the village of Ljubogosta which is in the municipality of Pale, some miles east of the capital Sarajevo. Her husband works part-time for a local company. Her older daughter is unemployed while her younger son goes to secondary school. Bogdana wanted to contribute to the household income, so several years ago she started rearing and selling livestock. Presently, she has two cows and fifteen sheep. She produces milk, cheese, cream and meat which she sells to local restaurants and neighbours. With this business she has actually been quite successful and can cover all household expenses and schooling costs for her son. She applied for a loan from the microcredit foundation 'Women for Women International' for the first time. She wants to buy some pigs and diversify her business. The loan is for 12 months,
