Slavica Zuza is 54 years old and married. They live with their two children in their family house in a place called Vojkovici in East Ilidza, near the capital Sarajevo. Her elder son is a student and her daughter goes to secondary school. Because of their many expenses, which include the cost of schooling the children and the household expenses, Slavica decided to start a business. First she did some research; this made her realise that there was no any kind of store near the primary school where she lives. So Slavica registered and opened a general store; the business developed very quickly. Today she has a lot of satisfied customers, especially children during the school year. She applied for this loan because she wants to expand her stock for the store and purchase some new equipment such as shelves and a fridge. She hopes and prays that her business will continue successfully and that one day she will be able to open another store somewhere else.
