Loan description:
Azra Vatrenjak is 34 years old. She and her husband Avdo live their own house in Ilidza, which is west of the capital Sarajevo. They have one child, Sanjin, who attends a local school. Avdo is ill, he has a kidney disease. Because of his illness he cannot work. He receives a pension, but this barely covers the cost of his treatment and medicines. Azra has been a very good client of the microfinance foundation 'Women for Women International' for the past two years, and has had her own business for the past seven years. She runs a general store, where she sells food, bread, hygienic products and other household items. She recently applied for a loan in order to buy new stock for the store as well as a new cash machine - this is now required by law. Her wish is to expand her business in the future and hopes that she will open another general store.
