Voeurt Bun is 35 years old and married with five children aged between 2 and 12 years old. The older ones are in school. They live in Prek trob village which is in Ek Phnom district in Battambang province in north west Cambodia. Voeurt and his wife, Phorn Chea, who is 31, manage a general store from their home. They have been running it for about ten years. They sell a wide variety of household goods such as food ingredients, pork, vegetables, cooking oil, mineral water, and even gasoline and diesel. Voeurt applied for a loan in order to buy new stock for the shop. It is one of the principal shops in the village. He intends to repay the loan over nine months.
