Lemuel Quinones is 39 years old and married with two children both of whom attend school. His wife helps him with the business. They manage a small cafe called 'Sto. Nino Foodhaus'. It is located in the neighbourhood of Poblacion in the town of Daanbantayan in the province of Cebu. He cooks a lot of dishes with rice, and also serves bread and drinks. The cafe is particularly busy at lunchtimes. They employ five assistants that help with the cooking, cleaning and serving respectively. The eatery also offers free usage of a water dispenser that contains clean drinking water. They have had the business for the past seven years. He is also an active member of the microfinance organisation, First Consolidated, and he recently applied for a loan to add to his working capital. Primarily he will buy more stocks of vegetables. A part of the loan is also for the purchase of chairs. His ambition is to ensure that his children complete their education and also establishing another outlet in another part of the town.
