Jenelyn Dongallo is a married mother of three. She lives with her family in the town of Tuburan in Cebu province. With the help of her husband and children, Jenelita manages a fishmongers in the town's public market selling fresh fish and other types of seafood including prawns and squids. She started the business about twenty years ago when she decided she wanted to make a financial contribution to the household budget. She has been a member of the of the microfinance organisation, First Consolidated, for about five years and recently sought a loan in order to use as working capital paying for fresh stock in cash as and when required. The loan is repayable over a period of three months. Jenelita wants to try and save to start raising pigs as well in the future.
