Ryan

Loan description:

Ryan Cansancio is 27 years old and married with a young daughter. He lives with his family in the neighbourhood of Lutopan in the town of Toledo in Cebu province. He runs a small food stall selling barbecued meat and grilled sausages. The stall is located adjacent to his home and he has had the stall for about ten years. Together with his wife they buy fresh meat every morning and prepare the marinades. Ryan grills and sells the food from the late morning onwards. He used his own savings to buy a refrigerator which he now uses to stock supplies and ingredients. Ryan has been a member of the microfinance organisation Lamac Multi-Purpose Co-operative for the past two years and he has already received and successfully repaid two loans. His third loan, repayable over three months, is destined to purchasing more supplies of meat, seasonings and ingredients for the business. Ryan wants eventually to establish a small restaurant.
